ImageI’m reminiscing about the beautiful sunny days I spent last year in Florence for my birthday. As always I didn’t pack light because getting dressed up is half the fun of a holiday. I have to admit that it only took one evening and a badly twisted ankle to make me realise that the heels I had brought along would be useless. I don’t know how other bloggers do it, but cobbled Italian streets are not conducive to me in 5 inch stilettos (or even wedges for that matter.)

So I compromised. Fashion may be pain, but I draw the line at a broken ankle.

I spent most of the holiday in trusty flats and billowing dresses and skirts. Here I am wearing palazzo pants & a maxi necklace from Zara, a vest top and fringed bag from H&M, my trusty (and battered) Raybans and some Primark sandals.

Economical, functional, comfortable and beautiful. What do you think?Image
